YOUR CHALLENGE THIS YEAR
Shaping the future of reverse logistics in the Automotive Industry.
The Reman Challenge is a competition divided in two parts.
Part 1: Decoding reverse logistics: understanding the essentials and challenges
In the first part, students will undertake a research phase to gain a deep understanding of reverse logistics. They will explore the definition and scope of reverse logistics, differentiating it from forward logistics, and identify its key activities.
Students will also investigate the specific challenges faced in the context of reversed logistics. Special focus should be given to the unique difficulties encountered by independent remanufacturers.
Delivery: Students will compile a detailed report summarizing the characteristics and challenges of reverse logistics, providing a solid foundation for the second part of the project.
Part 2: Cutting edge technologies for reverse logistics
In the second part, students will leverage their research to propose innovative technological solutions that can significantly enhance reverse logistics operations, particularly for independent remanufacturers.
They will identify cutting-edge technologies and consider how these can address the challenges identified in the first phase. Students will develop detailed proposals for technological innovations or strategies, explaining how these solutions can improve reversed logistics.
Delivery: The final proposal should be a report with recommendation to an independent remanufacturer aiming at improving logistical operations. It will include a comprehensive description of the innovative solution, its implementation plan, and an analysis of its potential impacts (financial, environmental, social...), demonstrating how it can transform reverse logistics practices.
